Details

2250 Michael Drive, Newbury Park, CA 91320

Description

The hilly seven acres which make up Newbury Gateway Park were acquired in 1984.  In 1999, four acres at the base of the hill were developed into a neighborhood park which was funded in part through a cooperative agreement with the City of Thousand Oaks.  Native plants, including an oak grove and two dedicated oak trees near the entry, highlight this park.  In 2011, CRPD entered into easements with the City of Thousand Oaks for the construction of an infiltration swale. The swale captures and filters storm water and eliminates flooding at Newbury Road and Michael Drive.
