CSVP Mission Statement

The Conejo Senior Volunteer Program (CSVP) provides opportunities for adults age 55+ to use their life experience and skills to meet local community needs. 

Office Hours: Monday thru Friday 9:00am - 4:00pm

It's easy to join CSVP!

Just give us a call, email, or stop by the CSVP office at the Goebel Center - we are happy to discuss the program with you. Then, all you need to do is fill out an enrollment form and schedule an appointment with the Director, who will discuss your interests and help you find a volunteer position that matches your goals.

Volunteer opportunities can change at a moment's notice! Opportunities shown here may be filled by the time you apply; however, our new opportunities may also suit your interests. Call 805-381-2742 to schedule an appointment with our staff to discuss the many options we have available.

Programs & Services

CSVP Volunteers support a number of programs and services located at the Goebel Adult Community Center as well as areas nearby. Proceeds from a number of these programs support CSVP.

Volunteer Opportunities 

New Opportunities

American Red Cross
Volunteers needed to assist staff at local blood drives.

Food Share
Help sort produce and food to distribute fairly and safely. Various locations and times throughout the Conejo Valley.

Mad Attic Boutique and Thrift Store
Volunteers needed Tuesday through Saturday to sort and price merchandise, tidy racks and shelves, and help customers at the cash register.

Ombudsman
Be a voice for an older or dependent adult who may be feeling too vulnerable to advocate for themselves.

School on Wheels
Provide educational enhancement opportunities for homeless children and youth, ages kindergarten through twelfth grade. Livescan is required.

CSVP In the Schools
Interested in working with children? We have set up a number of unique partnerships with area elementary schools; opportunities include tutoring, art, music, fun & games, and more!

Disaster Assistance Response Team (DART)
Volunteers needed to be trained to assist in both emergency and non-emergency situations in the Conejo Valley and Ventura County.

Conejo Valley Adult School
Help change a life and teach someone to read.

Hospice of the Conejo and Los Robles Hospital (NODA)
Volunteer to be specifically trained by Hospice and Los Robles Hospital to provide compassionate bedside vigil.

Westminster Free Clinic
In search of food distribution volunteers to drive their trucks that carries fresh fruits and vegetables, grains, and non-perishable items that are then distributed to the patients of Westminster Free Clinic. Volunteers are also needed to set-up and bag food at 1000 E. Janss Rd. on Wednesdays in Thousand Oaks at 2pm. Volunteer packets are available onsite or by visiting www.westminsterclinic.org


Opportunities at Goebel Adult Community Center

Love to crochet, knit, or sew? Join one of our groups at the Goebel Center or help from home.

Busy Bees
(Mondays, 9:30am - 12noon) Sew, knit, or crochet for children, service members, older adults & CSVP programming.

Teddy Bear Workshop
(Mondays, 1:30 - 3:00pm) Fashion charming toy bears for abused, neglected, and needy children using donated fabric, ribbons, pom-poms, and fiberfill. Love to Draw? You are needed to draw at the Goebel Center or at home.

Crafters
(Wednesdays, 9:00 - 11:30am) Sew, knit, or crochet for children, service members, older adults & CSVP programming.

Nifty Ladies
(Wednesdays, 12:30 - 3:00pm) Sew special projects for patients, children, service members, and older adults.

Forever Young Singers
Bring entertainment to local nursing facilities several times a month. Practice takes place on Fridays from 9:00-11:00am.

Senior Dance Orchestra
Plays for local nursing facilities. Practices Thursdays, 11:30am - 12:45pm

Ukulele Strummers and Singers
Wednesdays, 2:30-4:15pm

Senior Nutrition Program (SNP)

The SNP is a grant funded program through the County of Ventura and is for seniors age 60+ Join us Monday-Friday from 11:30am-12:30pm. More information about the Senior Nutrition Program here.

Tax Preparation Assistance

In cooperation with the Internal Revenue Service, trained and certified CSVP Volunteers provide FREE income tax preparation and counseling.

CSVP Boutique Shop

Shop for seasonal holiday items, crafts, and beautiful handmade gifts such as baby clothes, aprons, blankets, stuffed animals, and other unique items at the CSVP Boutique. An assortment of greeting cards is available for only 50¢ each. Proceeds support CSVP and Senior Lifeline services. Hours: Monday thru Friday 9:00am - 4:00pm (except holidays).

Wellness Fest

Join us for our one-day, annual Wellness Fest in January. We have a free resource directory, service information, health screening and entertainment catered to our senior population.
